Its 2026 & The World Is My Oyster!

(Brooklyn, NYC)

2025 was truly a year for me! It was a year of hard work and dedication that was highly celebrated at every turn. I finished my last class for my associates degree in December 2024 and started off 2025 with a bang by celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans for my birthday, graduating in May, getting reenrolled in classes at SC State to begin taking summer classes a week after graduation, followed by enrolling in 3 courses for the fall semester with trips like One Music Fest in October and NYC in November sprinkled throughout. Then I made a BIG DECISION to cut my hair…turns out it was severely damaged from a style i got earlier in the year and I didn’t want to go into the new year with damaged hair…it felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders! Now we've reached a new year! So, what's next for me?!

Well...Welcome to 2026! It's my senior year as a communication and journalism major. I’m currently enrolled in five courses, continuing to work my full-time job, preparing for track season with my teenage son, I’m slowly getting back into my content creation especially now that I’m learning my hair all over again after getting it cut, and I have a lead on two internships that are worthy of taking to prepare me for my future.  A lot on my plate but God and my determination to graduate will bring me through it all successfully.
